An Afternoon Chat with NYC School

Mrs. Anderson's first grade class had a great experience last month when they were able to do a video chat with the Collegiate School in New York City.

 What a great experience!

Both classes had been talking about communication and this was a great opportunity for them to experience first-hand how technology can be used to communicate with others.

The students were able to share interesting things about each other's schools.  For example, we learned that the students at the Collegiate School have a playground on the roof and they were an all boy school (they don't go to school with any girls).  The students in New York though it was really cool that we had a river, a lake, and farms by our school.  It was really a fun experience to see the ways that they were similar and the ways they were different.

Thank you to
Mrs. Anderson for arranging this awesome experience for her class!
