We had the honor of having Miki Lawrence from
the Bobby Lawrence Karate School in Orem
come to our school to do a Karate demonstration for us.
Three of our students -- Liam, Chad, and Casey -- are also studying Karate at Bobby Lawrence Karate and assisted with the demonstration.
We learned about discipline, commitment, and work.
They showed our students some moves they got to try.
They demonstrated how to "break the board"
(which is breaking actual planks of wood.)
One of our 3rd graders got to come up and give it a try.
And on her first try...
she did it!!!
We even got to see them do an AWESOME
bow staff demonstration.
